Utilities Engineer Electrical

As Electrical Engineer Utilities, you play a key role in the design, management, and lifecycle of our electrical distribution systems (HS/LS). You work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to contribute actively to the sustainability, safety, and compliance of our installations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing and optimizing electrical distribution systems (HS/LS)
• Executing and checking electrical calculations (short-circuit calculations, selectivity, cable calculations, protection, redundancy,...)
• Actively contributing to drafting, updating, improving technical drawings, calculations, files
• Representing the Utilities team in internal and external forums acting as bridge between different stakeholders
• Following trends and innovations within the energy sector translating them into improvements in architecture/lifecycle management
• Answering technical questions/cases from internal/external clients
• Staying informed about current legislation/norms/standards/products
• Adjusting/benchmarking engineering guidelines overseeing their proper application within projects, Ensuring projects are executed according to existing engineering standards/procedures

Skills & Qualifications

• Master diploma Electricity or Electromechanics (Industrial Engineer)
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems (TN-C/TN-S, short circuit calculations/selectivity/protection/UPS/emergency systems/redundancy/micro-grid...)
• Knowledge of relevant legislation,norms,safety regulations
• Experience with Caneco for cable calculations is an advantage
• Curious,strongly accurate,and methodical
• Flexible analytical,strong problem-solving skills
• Teamplayer who can also work independently taking ownership
• Communication strong,virtually collaborating with internal/external partners

Experience

• Experience is an asset but motivated graduates are certainly considered.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation,norms,safety regulations

Education

• Masterdiploma Elektriciteit of Elektromechanica (Industrieel Ingenieur)
