SpEd Paraprofessional Resource

The SpEd Paraprofessional Resource supports special education students under the supervision of a teacher, assisting with instruction, behavior management, and administrative tasks. This role requires flexibility and adaptability due to potential changes in student needs throughout the school year.

Responsibilities

• Reports consistently for work as scheduled
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
• Obtains and maintains certifications necessary to support students with special needs
• Carries out instructional programs and lessons in various learning environments as designated in the lesson plan
• Coordinates completion of assignments with regular classroom teachers
• Assists individual students in performing activities instructed by a teacher
• Works with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher under supervision of a teacher

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systems
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in creating, accessing, inputting, retrieving, and manipulating information in various software systems
• Establishes and maintains accurate record keeping, document management, and filing systems
• Maintains effective working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and professions
• Follows oral and written instructions efficiently

Experience

• $19.03-$19.98 hourly wage range
• Minimum requirement: high school graduate or equivalent

Education

• High school graduate - high school diploma or equivalent
