Senior Site Acquisitions Manager

The AWS Global Real Estate Team seeks a Senior Site Acquisitions Manager based in EMEA (Dublin, Frankfurt or London) to shape and execute strategies for expanding the Data Center portfolio. The role involves negotiating real estate development transactions, supporting infrastructure needs, and collaborating with various internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality Data Center projects.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate real estate development transactions from start to finish including strategy development, business term negotiation, and legal negotiations.
• Serve as a key member of the Site Acquisitions team in developing growth strategies for specific markets.
• Execute on strategic plans while interacting with internal stakeholders (product teams, energy, fiber, design, construction, legal, tax, etc.). Understand the technical requirements of engineering teams and develop solutions meeting design and business targets. Be involved in the full construction process to deliver all aspects of a project including building, data center-specific power, and site utilities. Prepare and present transaction summaries to senior management regarding progress, financial approvals, and overall deal costs/benefits. Manage multiple complex contract negotiations simultaneously.

• Real estate, development, business, financial, strategic, and technical background

Experience

• Ability to negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts for real estate and infrastructure transactions. Strategic thinking about business, market, and technical challenges with the ability to build compelling value strategy plans. Strong negotiation abilities including legal document review/negotiation alongside legal counsel. Willingness/travel capability for approximately 50% domestic/international travel. Strong analytical skills with ability to derive big-picture insights from multiple data sources.
• Self-starter with strong time-management capabilities.
