Seasonal Cashier

Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies. Seeks out customers to understand their needs. Assists in locating/demonstrating/selecting/loading merchandise. Responds knowledgeably/promptly to questions. Demonstrates sincerity/appreciation toward customers. Communicates product info related to Lowe’s programs. Writes contracts/invoices for equipment/tool repair services. Trains cross-functionally in other areas of the store. Detects shoplifting/theft/security risks. Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards. Maintains safe/work environments. Adheres to safety requirements. Operates store equipment as per role/dept requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies.
• Seeks out customers to understand his/her needs and assists in locating,demonstrating.selecting,carrying,and/or loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds knowledgeably/promptly to customer/associate questions by taking them to areas of the store/walking them through projects when necessary.
• Demonstrates sincere appreciation towards customers.
• Communicates information about stock,special order merch.feature benefits,application,warranty info related to Lowe’s programs.
• Writes customer contracts/invoices for equipment rental/tool repairs(Tool Rental Dept.). Cross-functionally trains in other areas of the store,to help deliver best cust svc. Detects common signs of shoplifting,theft,othersecurity risks,prompts communication w/mgmt.Asset Prot. Ensures compliance w/housekeeping stds.progs(e.g.Zone Recovery),maintain clean/org stores/work areas. Maintains safe/sec work environs,may involve conductng dailysafety revs.noting hazrds,kp aisles clr.securing doors/gates. Adheres fullyto safetystd.relevant regualry job duties;topstock saftey,reinstalling safteycables.useofaisleblockers,tetherlineonpowerequip.spotters,safteydevices.operatestoreequipasneededdependingononespecificrole/dept(e.g,Zebra phone.telephone.paging sys.copiers,faxmachines.computers,CCTVsurrveillancesystem,keycutter.panel saw.paintmixer.flooringcutters.compactorbaler.toolrentals).

Skills & Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using computer/common retail tech(smartphones/tablets)
• Less than 1 year retail exp.performing tasks:sellingproductsbasedoncustneeds.explainingwarranties.prodfeatures.benefits.assistingcustinlocatingprod.buildingcustrelationships.identifying/resolvingcustissues.zone recovery.housekeeping.

Experience

• Less than 1 year experience using computer/common retail tech(smartphones/tablets)
• Less than 1 year retail experience performing tasks such as identifying/selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties/product features/benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying/resolving customer issues; zone recovery; housekeeping
