Pharmacy Technician

As a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational/service excellence within your store. Technicians are often the first point of contact assisting patients/customers delivering an exceptional experience. Technicians assist pharmacy teams ensuring pharmacy operations run smoothly patients' prescriptions are filled promptly/safely/accurately providing caring service exceeding patient expectations.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation helping Pharmacists manage/improve patient health
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production/pick-up/drive-thru/drop-off) for safe/accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy/genuine care: creating heartfelt/personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up/drive-thru/over-the-phone; keeping patients healthy by offering immunizations/services at register/over-the-phone; demonstrating compassionate care by solving/escalating patient problems
• Completing basic inventory activities (putting away meds deliveries/completing cycle counts/returns-to-stocks/waiting bin inventories) as directed by pharmacy leadership team
• Contributing to high-performing team embracing growth mindset/receptive feedback; actively seeking opportunities expand clinical/technical knowledge needed better assist patients
• Remaining flexible scheduling/business needs contributing safe/inclusive/team dynamic volunteering travel stores market work shifts needed business
• Understanding/complying federal/state/local laws/regulations/professional standards/ethical principles
• Complying CVS policies/procedures ensure patient safety compliance controlled substance dispensing(recordkeeping)/protect patient privacy/security Delivering additional healthcare services(e.g., immunizations(point-of-care testing(voluntarily staffing offsite clinics)) where allowable law/support training/certification Where permissible Pharmacy Technician may also support immunizations including: Completing additional licensure/training requirements(state Board Pharmacy regulations) obtain Technician Immunizer status prepare/administer vaccines Educating patients importance vaccines referring Pharmacist-on-duty vaccination questions Monitoring/responding adverse reactions reporting adverse event public health requirements Reviewing collecting patient info tracking/documenting applicable patient Monitoring/managing vaccine supplies
